The Beachside District Swimming Carnival was held on Wednesday 4th March at Carnegie Pool, and in cold and blustery conditions all competitors acquitted themselves very well, with some impressive performances. McKinnon has taken out this title very frequently over the past decade, however we saw a changing of the guard with Cheltenham coming from behind late in the day to claim a well earned victory. Cheltenham finished on 677 points, followed by McKinnon on 616 points, with Mordialloc 3rd on 518 points. Congratulations to all competitors who were successfull in gaining selection to the Zone Finals, and to all Age group Champions on the day. Thanks to all members of staff who made the day a success through thier tireless work. A great day was had, despite the cold conditions.
