Each School runs their own selections for each sport and once their teams have been selected they compete in either round robin days (generally intermediate and senior levels) against the other schools or weekly round robin competitions (generally year 7 and 8 levels) against the other schools in their pool. From these round robins the champion team represents the Beachside District against champion teams from the other sports districts in a sudden death competition on their way to the Southern zone finals and state championships.
The same applies for the Athletics, Swimming Sports and Cross Country however the team is made up of individuals from all schools, not just the champion's schools competitiors. To be selected the individual must finish first or second in an event.
