Equal Opportunity Day was again a huge success in 2009, with some very hot competition from the Girls Football and the Boys Netball. In conditions which looked to threaten early in the morning, both events went ahead and ended up enjoying what turned into a very nice day. Cheltenham were the outstanding school at the boys Netball, taking out the honours in the Senior & Junior Boys competition. McKinnon were strong as usual and took out the Intermediate Boys. All the boys were very well behaved on the day and enjoyed what looked to be a new experience for many of them. The girls Football also proved to be a success, with the girls getting down and dirty and enjoying the contact throughout the day. Mentone again proved to be a very strong outfit, taking out the Junior & Senior Girls, putting on a very impressive display. Congratulations to all schools who submitted teams on the day, it proved to be an enjoyable experience for all involved.
